Before you can finalize a mesh, you must combine multiple meshes first. This process removes duplicate and overlapping data and generates a single mesh. You can also perform a fine alignment during the combine process, and you can uncombine combined meshes as well.

Combining Meshes

To combine meshes:

  1. In the Thumbnail panel, load and select the meshes you wish to combine.
  2. Select the Combine button in the Toolbar to combine the meshes.

Combined meshes are indicated by the combine icon Kscan3d users guide combined mesh icon.png beside the thumbnail.

Fine Alignment

The Fine Alignment feature provides a tighter and more accurate alignment.

To enable or disable fine alignment during the combine process, select the arrow below the Combine icon and choose Apply Fine Alignment:

Each time the Combine button is selected, this alignment setting will be used.

Uncombining Meshes

Selecting the Uncombine button will unmerge a combined mesh into its original set of meshes. You can select one or more combined meshes to uncombine at the same time.

To uncombine meshes:

  1. In the Thumbnail panel, load and select the meshes you wish to uncombine.
  2. Select the Uncombine button in the Toolbar to uncombine the meshes.
